I am a writer and academic interested in everyday relationships to clothing and dress, reframing narratives around clothing consumption, and caring about clothing as a radical act of love. I completed an MA in Fashion Cultures at London College of Fashion in 2020 and began an AHRC-funded PhD titled ‘Love-Clothes’ at Northumbria University in October 2021. My current research project is centered in material cultures, embodiment, sensory ethnography, and filmmaking. I am working with self-identifying women in their 50s and 60s to investigate relationships between to clothing, love, identity, and memory.
Since graduating, I have contributed to the Bloomsbury Fashion Video Archive and Warehouse Review. Every so often I send out a newsletter called The Loving Archive in which I share collected love stories found in clothes.
