Digital Media for Heritage: Refocusing Design from the Technology to the Visitor Experience

This project took place at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2012-2014, MIT Science Technology Society Program) and the University of Leicester (2012-2-15, School of Museum Studies). The study analysed advanced digital exhibition design projects in the USA (e.g. Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Cleveland Museum of Art, Tenement Museum New York, and Institute of Emerging Issues) focusing on design methodology – in particular, methods that support collaboration and knowledge exchange between external design firms and museums.
