Mediating Trust: Co-creative Making Workshop Resources

Trust (and distrust) in research relationships can be mediated through the material resources that are selected or designed for and created with research partners and other stakeholders. Within the wider The Trust Map project, two studies involved co-design with third-sector and charitable organisations that were helping to address social and material inequities amongst their local populations. While contending with austerity measures, such organisations are by necessity devising ever-creative ways of making best use of shrinking resources. The research generated creative methods and material resources that could be reused and adapted beyond the immediate scope of the research project, and reflective texts on socio-material and other approached to establishing, demonstrating and maintaining trust in these resource-limited research contexts.
